Arsen Benga

Dr. Arsen Benga is an assistant professor in the Math and Statistics Department at the College of Business Administration, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain, where he graduated cum laude. His areas of specialization include applied statistics, econometrics, data envelopment analysis, and sustainable mobility. He has taught a wide range of courses in mathematics, statistics, and quantitative research methods. His research has been presented at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on efficiency analysis in transportation and finance. Ashraf Bin-Mahmud

Dr. Ashraf Bin-Mahmud serves as an assistant professor of psychology at the American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait, specializing in the neurobiology of affective disorders, and learning and memory. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from McGill University in Canada and completed postdoctoral research there as well. He has over five years of academic experience and has held lecturer and research positions at several universities in Canada. His research focuses on the neurobiology of depression-like behaviours, interactions between genes and behaviours, and the neurobiology of reward prediction error. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and neuroscience. He has published in Scopus-indexed journals, received research funding from national and international bodies, and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple journals. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), the Canadian Association for Neuroscience (CAN), and the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP).

Askhat Mussin

Askhat Mussin is a senior laboratory instructor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Management from the University of Liverpool, UK, and a Master’s degree in Mechanics from Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan. Prior to joining AUM, he served for five years as a laboratory assistant, technician, and manager at Nazarbayev University. His teaching focuses on material testing, engineering materials, computer-aided design, and graphical communication.

Asli Baysal is a senior laboratory instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. She holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul, Türkiye.

With over 7 years of experience in higher education, Asli is recognized for delivering hands-on instruction in programming, digital systems, and embedded system design. She is proficient in a range of programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Verilog HDL, and MATLAB.

She is known for incorporating gamification techniques into her teaching, mentoring student projects, and contributing to curriculum development, particularly in support of ABET accreditation. In addition to her academic career, she has also worked in software development and user research roles in industry, bringing a strong applied perspective to her instructional practices.

Asli Guldurdek

Dr. Asli Guldurdek is an associate professor of mathematics at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait, specializing in topology and set theory. She holds a Ph.D. from Auburn University, USA. Her academic career includes positions at İzmir University of Economics and recent publications in European Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics and International Journal of Neutrosophic Sciences. Dr. Güldürdek is proficient in LaTeX and Mathematica, and her research interests include topological structures, fuzzy numbers, and ideal spaces.

Atik Kulakli

Dr. Atik Kulakli is a professor and chair of the Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Business Administration, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He holds a B.A. in Management from Dokuz Eylul University (Turkey), an M.A. in Information Studies from University College London (UCL), and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.

Dr. Kulakli has taught undergraduate and graduate courses and held prior management roles in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, internet services, and contact center industries. He also provided consultancy services in business management before transitioning to academia.

His research interests include management information systems, technology management, internet and mobile technologies, blockchain, supply chain operations management, and educational technologies.

He actively contributes to academic service through editorial board memberships, scientific and technical committees and conference organizations. He has served as a reviewer, session chair, and committee member for journals, conferences, and academic publications. He is an active member of several professional associations, including IEEE and the Consumer Technology Society.

Audil Rashid

Dr. Audil Rashid is the dean of the College of Business Administration at the American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. Passionate about curriculum innovation, assurance of learning, program development, and sustainability, he previously served as department chair and accreditation coordinator at AUM. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Kashmir, examining the dynamics of financial inclusion and poverty alleviation.

A strong advocate of sustainable development, human rights and socially responsible finance and business practices, Khaki is actively engaged in the leadership role of higher education institutions in sustainability.

Awrad Al-Sallal

Awrad Al-Sallal is a lab instructor in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering & Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. She completed two research dissertations—at undergraduate and graduate levels—demonstrating strong analytical and technical research skills.
