Dr. Nour Ghaddar is an Assistant Professor in the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department at the College of Business Administration at the American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. She earned her Doctorate in International Strategy and Business Development from Toulouse School of Management, France, an MSc in International Business from Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB), France, and a BS in International Business from the Lebanese American University (LAU), Beirut. Dr. Ghaddar has taught a wide range of management courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Toulouse School of Management. She has also supervised students on real company projects, where they acted as consultants, providing practical solutions and actionable strategies in real time to address business challenges. Her research interests focus on strategic management, leadership, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and employee management. She has presented her research at numerous international conferences and has received Best Paper Awards in recognition of her scholarly contributions.

Nour Moustafa

Dr. Nour Moustafa received the Ph.D. degree from the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen’s University Belfast, U.K., in 2013. Previously, he was a Software Developer with Liberty Information Technology, USA/U.K. He is currently a Full Professor in computer science and Department Chair of IST program with the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East. He has authored or co-authored many refereed journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. His current research interests include cloud computing, large database management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, distributed computing, cloud, fog, and the IoT computing. He is an active reviewer of many reputed international and IEEE journals and letters. Also, he has been selected as an international steering committee member of many conferences. He has joined the editorial board of international journals.

Nurihan Talal

Nurihan Talal is a laboratory instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait.

She holds a master’s degree in control systems from the College of Higher Studies, Kuwait University, where her research focused on nonlinear sliding mode observers. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University with honors. Early in her career, she served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Kuwait University and later joined AUM as a lab technician before assuming her current role.

Her academic and professional journey reflects a strong commitment to teaching and research, particularly in advancing control system theory and its applications. She is dedicated to fostering student learning and supporting innovative academic practices.

Omar Al-Omari

Mathematics


Dr. Omar Al-Omari is an associate professor and head of the Mathematics Department at the American University of the Middle East (AUM) in Kuwait. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA, an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Montclair State University, USA, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Yarmouk University, Jordan. His academic career includes nearly a decade as an Associate Professor at the German Jordanian University, where he contributed to interdisciplinary teaching and research in applied mathematics. Dr. Al-Omari’s research interests lie in Graph Theory, Discrete Mathematics, and their applications. Prior to academia, he served as a Senior IT Manager at Xerox Corporation in the United States, gaining extensive experience in project management and software development. His dual background in academia and industry enriches his contributions to teaching, curriculum design, and departmental leadership.

Omar Al-Shatti

Omar Al-Shatti is a laboratory instructor in the Computer Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He holds a Master’s degree from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, both in Computer Engineering. His academic interests include advanced deep learning methodologies such as world models, Joint-Embedded Predictive Architectures (JEPAs), and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). He is passionate about FPGA technology and Verilog and actively enhances course materials through instructional videos, slides, and interactive graphics.

Omar Albanai

Civil Engineering


Omar Albanai is a lab instructor in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He holds a master’s degree focused on materials and roadways and has three years of academic teaching experience.

He has contributed to the preparation of laboratory teaching materials and has supported accreditation efforts through active involvement in the ABET documentation process and evaluation meetings.

Omar Alirr

Dr. Omar Alirr is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He earned both his M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Since joining AUM in 2018, Dr. Alirr has been actively involved in delivering a variety of ABET-accredited computer engineering courses and supervising capstone and undergraduate research projects. With academic and research experience spanning over 15 years, he previously held teaching and research positions in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Alirr’s research focuses on medical imaging analysis, machine learning in medicine, deep learning, and computer-aided diagnosis and intervention (CAD). His technical expertise includes medical image segmentation, surgical planning, object detection, and instance segmentation for medical applications. He has published in peer-reviewed ISI and Scopus-indexed journals and presented at prominent IEEE conferences. He also integrates innovative teaching tools and student-centered methodologies to enhance engagement and academic success.

Omar Bou Zeineddine

Omar Bou Zeineddine is a laboratory instructor in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He holds bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering. Omar’s professional experience includes roles as Civil Site Engineer and BIM Specialist, combining field knowledge with digital modeling to promote environmentally sustainable project delivery.

Omar Mouhtady

Dr. Omar Mouhtady is an associate professor of chemistry at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Chemistry and master’s in molecular and supramolecular chemistry from Paul Sabatier University Toulouse III, France.

He completed postdoctoral research at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Cientificas (IVIC) in Venezuela and later at Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France. He held a faculty position at Jinan University in Lebanon before joining AUM in 2015, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023.

His research interests include organic chemistry, catalysis, synthesis, and principal component analysis (PCA).

Orhan Donmez

Dr. Orhan Donmez is a professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Engineering and Technology, American University of the Middle East (AUM), Kuwait. He earned his B.Sc. from Erciyes University, Turkey and completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Drexel University and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, USA.

He teaches a variety of physics courses to physics and engineering students, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. His research is dedicated to exploring the fundamental structure of the universe, with a particular focus on dark matter, black holes, and cosmic evolution. Committed to advancing both theoretical and computational astrophysics, he has authored over 85 scientific publications, 70 of which are indexed in Scopus and appear in high-impact journals. He currently leads a major institutional research project and collaborates on three international projects aimed at uncovering the mysteries of the cosmos.

In addition to his research, he serves as a referee for several leading scientific journals and holds editorial board positions with two academic journals.
